Global Approach to Training Local Workers
To deliver the most complex and challenging projects in the world, we must attract and continually develop the most talented workers in the world. Fluor continues to enhance and deliver technical training programs to ensure that we have the right people with the right skill sets for each job.
As a part of our purpose to build a better world, we upgrade the skills and capabilities of local craft workforces everywhere we go. This global approach to training local workers reduces project costs and schedule risks for our clients and ultimately improves local communities.
For our entire craft workforce, even in the farthest reaches of the developing world, we have the capability to train in areas of entry-level skills, craft-specific, supervisory development and more.
Workforce Training Award
In 2021, Fluor received a Construction Users Roundtable Construction Industry Workforce Development Award for workforce training related to a pharmaceutical facility in North Carolina. Training addressed safety, quality, technical skills, soft skills and leadership and was critical to project execution, as nearly 14,000 workers delivered approximately 11 million onsite work hours.
